Environmental Analysis at Textile Dyeing IKM In the Village of Tuan Kentang Palembang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the environmental conditions of the textile dyeing IKM in Tuan Kentang Village, Palembang. This research uses qualitative research with observatory participant methods (participant observation)—data collection techniques through interviews, measurement, observation, and literature review. It is recommended to use natural dyes to avoid environmental pollution. Besides, it is necessary to carry out socialization or understanding activities and training in making natural coloring for artisans. Meanwhile, to minimize the impact of environmental pollution on groundwater and surface water, it can be done in two ways: making good drainage and treating waste.
