Analysis of Reclamation Activities in PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero)Tbk

Abstract

Ex-mining lands have different topographic and hydrological characteristics depending on the type of mining material and the mining method.  Problems that arise concerning reclamation techniques can include very low soil fertility, high erosion and sedimentation, insufficient or unavailable topsoil, the emergence of acid mine drainage, steep slopes, insufficient or unavailable water for watering, unsuitable microclimate, plant species selection, and others. All these issues need to be addressed in order to achieve a high level of reclamation success.
