Innovation in human resource management (HRM) in the public sector plays an important role in building a responsive and adaptive bureaucracy in today's world. Faced with the challenges of globalisation, digitalisation and a rapidly changing society, governments need to modernise their human resource management to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public services. This paper discusses various innovations in public human resource management, such as the digitisation of recruitment and performance evaluation processes, decentralisation of human resource management, and the introduction of performance-related compensation systems. The study identifies the benefits and challenges of implementing these innovations and shows how these strategies can result in a more flexible, transparent and responsive bureaucracy. Furthermore, the article offers recommendations to the government to remove existing barriers and highlights the importance of training and capacity building to support the implementation of these innovative policies
