ANALISIS SWOT PENGEMBANGAN PARIWISATA: STUDI KASUS KAWASAN HUTAN KOTA SUNGAILIAT KABUPATEN BANGKA
Abstract
The development of environment-based tourism is one of the important strategies in supporting the economic growth of local communities while preserving the environment. This research aims to analyze tourism development in Sungailiat City Forest Area, Bangka Regency. Forest areas have an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem as well as the potential to develop a sustainable tourism. This research was conducted to identify the quality of the tourism experience and the effectiveness of the management of the area. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, field observations and direct interviews with informants from visitors, local merchants and local communities. In this study, the data were analyzed using SWOT analysis with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the analysis showed that 82.8% of visitors were satisfied after visiting the Sungailiat City Forest Area, Bangka Regency. Based on the analysis that the attractiveness of this urban forest is found in the exotic natural atmosphere and the available trekking and jogging track facilities, then weaknesses such as the existence of some damaged infrastructure and lack of attention from the local government, opportunities are evidenced by the increasing interest from year to year in this tour and threats that include the risk of environmental damage due to human actions.
