DocuFast: Validasi Masalah Pasar dan Kelayakan Bisnis Micro-SaaS Otomatisasi Dokumen Administratif Mahasiswa

Abstract

Many students, event committees, and organization administrators in Indonesia still prepare administrative documents manually, and the consequences often go beyond simple inconvenience: typos, inconsistent formatting, and hours lost to layout adjustments are recurring complaints. DocuFast addresses this as a Micro-SaaS platform that automates administrative document creation, helping users produce properly formatted, standardized documents in a fraction of the time. This study set out to test whether the problem is real before any product development begins, through a quantitative survey completed by 10 initial respondents from the target segments: students and event committees (80%), freelancers (10%), and NGO/organization administrators (10%). Half of respondents identified vulnerability to human error as their biggest pain point, followed by difficulty finding standard-compliant templates (30%) and excessive time spent on layout (20%). Beyond that, 30% had experienced document rejection requiring multiple revisions, and another 30% felt their documents left a poor impression of professionalism. Most respondents rated the urgency of DocuFast at 4–5 out of 5. The freemium model was preferred by 50% as the most reasonable monetization scheme, while 30% were willing to pay for a semester subscription at Rp50,000. For MVP features, respondents prioritized a comprehensive template library (90%), mobile-friendly accessibility (60%), and a document archive dashboard (50%). These preliminary findings suggest DocuFast has market potential worth pursuing, although validation with a larger, more diverse sample is still needed before proceeding to technical development.
